Registration & Payment Policies

Registration Options

Payment is required with registration for all courses. We offer two payment options:

  • Full Payment - Pay in full with registration.

This payment option is eligible for early enrollment and class package discounts.

  • Split Payment - Pay tuition in two (2) installments.

Payment #1 of 2 (Registration Deposit) is required at the time of registration and is non-refundable.  Payment #2 of 2 (Balance Payment) will be due 1 week before the first day of your selected course.  (See Payment Deadlines below.)  This payment option is eligible for class package discounts and is not eligible for early enrollment discounts.

By registering for a course, you agree to our registration and payment policies.


Payment Deadlines

The final registration and payment deadline for all classes is 1 week (7 days) prior to the first day of each workshop.  This ensures that we have time to ship course materials for each participant. Late registrations may be accepted for some workshops with an additional fee.

If you have chosen to register with the Split Payment plan, your tuition balance will be due 1 week (7 days) before the first day of your selected course.

You may be charged an additional fee for tuition payments received after the due date.  Failure to pay your tuition balance by the due date may result in forfeiture of your spot in the course.


Refunds & Cancellations

If the student cancels his/her registration:

The cancellation deadline is 4 weeks (28 days) prior to the first day of your selected course. We retain a $100 cancellation fee for Birth Doula Workshops and BABE Courses, a $10 cancellation fee for Breastfeeding Education courses, and a $15 cancellation fee for TENS Unit Training.

A refund (less cancellation fee) will be approved only if written notification is received 4 weeks (28 days) prior to the first day of class.  Refunds may take 5-10 business days to approve and process.

We cannot grant tuition refunds after the 4-week deadline.  However, you may transfer your registration to another ACBE workshop within 2 years. If you do not complete another ACBE workshop within 2 years, all payments will be forfeited.

Registration deposits are non-refundable but may transferred to another ACBE workshop within 2 years.

If ACBE cancels a workshop:

If ACBE finds it necessary to cancel or reschedule a workshop, full refunds will be offered to all registrants.

Occasionally, we have to cancel or reschedule a class due to low enrollment. We require a minimum number of 5 participants per workshop, so if you plan to attend a class, we recommend that you register as soon as possible.


Discounts

Early enrollment discounts are automatically applied at checkout. Individual courses and class packages are eligible for early enrollment discounts if tuition is paid in full 4 weeks (28 days) prior to the selected course. Split Payment plans are not eligible for early enrollment discounts.

Group discounts are available for Birth Doula Workshops and BABE Courses.  Please email office@acbe.com for details.


Submission Deadlines & Extensions for BABE Certification

After completion of the 3-day BABE course or 1-day Accelerated BABE Course, all certification requirements should be submitted for review within 8 weeks of the course date. Failure to finish all requirements in the given timeframe without an extension will require you to retake the entire course at full registration cost to become certified.

If you are unable to meet the 8-week deadline, you may apply for up to two (2) 4-week extensions at $30 per extension. Please note that each extension will extend your submission due date by 4 weeks from the original due date (not 4 weeks from the date of purchase).
