Will you become anxious and hope your instincts provide you with the teaching skills you need? Or will you study the aspects of labor and birth, group dynamics, communication skills, and other specialty topics to ensure your ability to assist parents as they prepare for the birth of their child? The answer is clear. That's why the Academy of Certified Birth Educators sponsors courses to certify you as a childbirth educator in the Birth And Beginnings Education (BABE) Course.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the end of this course the participant will:
- Identify optimum nutrition with relation to high protein diets and essential nutrients.
- Discuss the labor and birth process with a special emphasis on positioning and pushing techniques.
- Explain guidelines for VBAC and how to make it work.
- Demonstrate communication skills and group dynamics through role playing.
- Demonstrate teaching techniques through a teaching presentation.
Each participant will receive the B.A.B.E. course manual and on-going support. A certification certificate will be granted upon successful completion of all requirements.
Tuition is $550.00. A non-refundable course deposit of $100.00 is due at the time of registration. Remaining balance due 10 days prior to first day of class or a late fee of $50.00 will apply.
